A Rose & Two Thorns

With new kin, a dark cloak comes in to rest
Foul stench does wait in shadows for the fate
As growth does kindle into a friendship best
So makes new green heart for treasure of late

When imminent thunder strikes with light above
Haste green thorns grow around the single rose
For the rose doth show both enduring love
But only one kins' heart weighs more love's growth

What was once the thorns growing hand in hand
Is a battle for blooming affection
For now a single thorn, queen of the land
Has won the bounty of the selection

Free from the love triangle's deathly grip
The thorn and rose bloom over remnants brown
