A Shallow World

In a world consumed by commercialism continuity
there's no room for natural beauty
mountain ranges turned into tunnels
once noble tribes now have shuttles
civilization has lost its boom
human race is nearing doom
as the cacti turns dull
the greenery turns droll
overtaken by tangible materials
losing emotions only concern is venereal
put down the mirror
take a better look
deep down inside
where your emotions used to cook
you'll never see it
blinded by the desire for success
turning into a money crazed mess
unless we change our ways
try to do better
our human decency, love and care go down the shredder
as we give into our selfish lure
the rich get richer and the poor get poorer
when offered the truth
people take dare
so they can forget
there's no happiness there
