A Sign of the Times

Penniless walking straight into view
Holding a cup of indiscriminate hue
Stroking a beard reminiscent of sage,
Wisdom is found at the edge of a blade
A visage filled with many some things
The vessel remains empty until there are nothings
The back is turned and strolls away,
An abject reflection of man's decay
