A Slice of My Life

When I looked around my classroom
I was filled with anger
Because I saw familiar faces
But was surrounded by strangers
I was an isolated
Accompanied only by my thoughts
It was just
Me, myself and I
Thinking outside the box
As I let my train of thought derail I'm prone to get lost
And taken on a journey
Into a world of my making
Where kindness is norm and success is for the taking
Ambition is praised; inspiration is given
I'm pushed to roam out of my comfort zone
Friends are everywhere I go so I'm never alone
But this trip to a perfect world,
Only possible in my imagination,
Is cut short as I'm pulled out of my fantasy
And back to reality
