A Special Blessing

By

When I got the call to help her,
I heeded the call and went to her aide.
One of her daughters contracted covid19,
the other couldn't do it on her own.

Her son was getting ready to go to Florida
and live there for the winter.
I had been married to her son
and asked for forgiveness that first night

Whatever I'd done or didn't do
Whatever I'd said or didn't say
He admitted his part and told me
he forgave me for my part

I was glad to help this special lady of 96 years
She was kind and loving and helped me along the way
Now it was time to help her,
the way she had helped so many in her lifetime

I was glad to be of service.
It didn't take long and she was gone.
Knowing where she went
and I would see her, were of great comfort to me
