A Step from the Void

Just over the mountain the sun shines bright,
Whilst in my head there screams a plight
Animals displaced by mankind's own folly,
A nation characterized by extraordinary squally
When a brave David battles the giant,
The people fallow, those who are pliant
When one person stands many will fallow,
A nature with air cleansing, once grieved with sorrow
Many won't stand, feet steadfast in the void,
Though some may turn when with love deployed
For when a heart shows kindness, love and caring,
People may step from the void, towards a love so daring
