A Tapestry Unwoven

I am a tapestry
In shreds on the floor
Colors messy
Interpretation poor
Across the room
I am seen
He hears my gloom
And he could help me
A crunch under his feet
He stares at the ground
Broken window shards, she
Stained in blue, green, and brown
Freckles of joy, we agree
On the face of the stone surround
His fingers reach for a piece
And blood drips to the ground
I am soothing and plush
She cannot be repaired
I am soft to the touch
A masterpiece he could share
He doesn't stop to think much
And carefully says this prayer:
Lady so lovely, lady so shattered
You are the one to me who matters
My hands may bleed and my heart may break
But may I be blessed to help you wake
