A Thousand

There are a thousand things I could tell you
A thousand that all seem right
The way you make my heart coo
Before I fall asleep at night
There are a thousand words I could use
To tell you how you make me feel
The way you make my heart confused
By the way this all seems real
There are a thousand fleeting moments
That I cherish in a day
There's the ones I wish to harness
And the ones I toss away
There's a thousand thoughts I hold for you
Of love, of lust, of hate
I can only hope you feel them too
Before it's much too late
There's a thousand heart beats in my chest
When you caress my cheek
A thousand thoughts lacking rest
That make my knees get weak
A thousand hours I'd spend with you
Of both good and bad
Talking of how my heart flew
And how for you I'm glad
A thousand things I'd say to you
A thousand that seems right
A thousand words that you've used too
Unspoken yet sealed tight.
