A Tragic Day

She walks alone, under the moon
Unknowing of the man
Who has a devious plan
Unknowing of the knife
Held in his hand

Thou thoughts parish
Thou troubles flourish
Behind you lurks the demon
Who's come to collect the maiden
The beautiful jeweled flower
Who seems to be in power

Death to come, life too long
Coming hither, to make you quiver
Ending days, beginning nights
Creeps the monster, full of fight

The maiden cries, the bird flies
Run from death, stop the theft
Keep your cool, or pay the toll
Stay awake, keep your fate
Stay alive, and master minds
