A Walk in My Shoes

You can know me my entire life,
say you know how I think,
what I like,
but you don't know me,
unless you have walked in my shoes;

You could see me everyday,
see me in the halls,
or sit by me in class.but you don't know me,
unless you have walked in my shoes;

You could say you have known me for years,
say you know my dreams and passions,
but you don't know me,
unless you have walked in my shoes;

You can touch my body,
and know the way smell, feel,and taste,
but you don't know me,
unless you have walked in my shoes;

I've been through some things,
and seen some worse things,
but you still wouldn't know me,
even if you walked in my shoes;
