A Winter Day

A Winter Day

Gusts of white snow flurrying
Chased by the wind.
Cold-looking birds scurrying,
They need a friend
To help them survive
Nature’s blast and stay alive
Through this frigid day
The winter spirit has sent our way.
How safe it feels inside, and warm.
I know that I am shielded from harm.
Do our feathered friends
Give thanks when winter ends?
