A Winter’s Morn

The winter glitters and twinkles with the moon
The snow glides gently down as if dancing to a toon
The ground is blanketed with a sheet of white
The ground is tucked away until spring is in sight
The trees are slumped, burdened with snow
The boughs are drooping heavy and low
The night is quiet, silent, and sweet
As the new morn breaks the dark and light meet
A burst of light will shatter the night
As the sun pushes through with all of its might
The beams of golden rays pierce the night sky
As the night fades away and slowly dies
