A World At War

Siphon out the complexities, This world comes to offer me, How can we simplify, Considering how we live our lives. We rejoice at the stumbling of another, We turn eyes from the crumbling of a brother. Iron out the wrinkled imperfections, That contest within the majority, Too many crossroad intersections and distractions, Stealing me.

When will we rise above, Take away the security of pride, Can we finally start to love, But we're too fearful of the vulnerabilities inside. Can we start showing love today, Then maybe these chains will fall away.

Its gotta start with one spark, Before a fire can ignite, So who will make it start, Set ablaze a burning light.

Drain out the intoxication, The world comes to pollute in me, How can we allow such an infection, Knowing the way it breaks us inside. We praise the tearing down of a new-mother, We ignore the bum who once was a father. Rewind the engineered plan of destruction, That we devise for the minority, Lets start a new deduction, Lets start building up you and me.

When will we rise above, Take away the security of pride, Can we finally start to love, But we're too fearful of the vulnerabilities inside. Can we start showing love today, Then maybe the burdens can be lifted away.

We gotta start to realize, The burdens we wrap up tight, Lets start looking in the eyes, Instead of stealing light.

When will we rise above, Strip away the security of pride, Can we finally start to love, But we're too fearful of the vulnerabilities we hide inside. Can we start showing love today, Then maybe hearts will learn to do the same.

This is the manifested life i see with my eyes, Its surrounding us day and night, A little love to each other we deny, This is why world's collide. Love fades away, By our words and deeds, Lets not deny another day, Of people in need.
