A World Gone Bananas

Lend me your ear and I'll tell you a story
About the rise of the monkeys and their fall from glory
There were monkeys in suits and monkeys in cars
Monkeys in movies where monkeys are stars
Business monkeys leading busy little lives
Came home to relax with monkey children and wives
They put a monkey on the moon and were no longer confined
One small step for a monkey, one giant leap for monkeykind
Everything seemed great but monkeys are narrow-minded
And by their intolerance the monkeys were blinded
Some monkey believed one thing but other monkeys did not
So the monkeys formed armies and started to plot
Monkeys with rifles and monkeys with tanks
Monkey generals saluted by monkeys in ranks
Monkey scientists locked in a monkey arms race
All of monkey history the monkey bombs did erase
Please pay heed to the warning I bring
In a world gone bananas, the monkey is king
