A World of Fake Truths

We aren't concentrating
on the fact that people are actually deliberating
whether a man's veins can continue pulsating
after he committed a mass murder
Just because he's white.
I mean you can't be serious
A woman wants to pick up her kids from school
dressed in her hijab
and she is beaten up
Just because the ignorance of the racists around her is so high.
What's wrong with society?
We claim that we've changed
That racism is gone
But, if anything, it's gotten worse
We've just learned to hide it in a different way
that only a select few can decipher.
The problem is that we teach ourselves
that the "truth" comes from the lies we tell
and the ideas we sell.
Our modern world is a hypocrite,
that's the real truth.
