A Writers Label
Contents disobey expectations of style,
push the limitations of rhyme,
kiss rhetoric with an open mouth,
spin syntax into sinew sewing up spines,
With the irreverence of poets.
Dipping quills in haikus,
pirouetting on freeverse,
A dictionary is not omniscient;
to a girl, pulling pain from her veins
screaming a story, tied to the page
that page is not cognizant.
To its purpose, to the language
washed up on its shore,
where you come
foreign tongues, black and blue,
are just as powerful
as the words you create.
