Abandonment

She never really knew her place
locked inside the games they played
but her Father knew her
from the inside out
and he told her so,
'don't let your Mother know,
that people are her words
put together how she likes
and when she left you
she left a part of her behind
and darling
I'm thinking of the times I saw you cry
a darkness you just pushed aside
to let somebody else in
Now your mother never saw nobody cry
there was ignorance in her blue eyes
the control she fought so hard for
became a war inside her mind'.
She's searching for a reason
and where this part of her has gone
she cannot seem to comprehend that her Mother
has only
a cold and empty place where she'd move on.
