Absent Mind

Absent I say, I feel absent.
My mind runs in circles
around itself contemplating,
analyzing. Then out of nowhere
it's ready to explode,
to escape. Can't find its way
out of the demoralization
it has created. Such aberration
inside the absence. Such infuriation
resides, it will never abide. Silencing
itself through the little window
of people, who take it away
for a short while. It relaxes,
then finds itself screaming
once again. The mind
once so fragile and innocent,
remembers the death, the screams
and pain. Look into the eyes
they will show the mind
is still in a deep stage of trepidation.
