Across Oceans

So far away,

You are my sweets.

Yet your words still linger,

In my ears; 

Softly echoing,

Again and again,

Till I drift into sleep.

The vast oceans,

That separate us,

Only seems to increase.

The yearning for you,

I have it in my heart.

Yet my heart soars,

with the winds across

The miles so I may

be with you.

A cornucopia of stars

greet me and saturate

This night and my only wish

is for you to be by my side.

For I wish to hear,

Your sweet murmurs of love,

Under a blanket of stars.

In the distance, 

A nightingale sings,

Announcing your presence.

The night air carried,

The sweet scent of your perfume to me.

As I awake, 

I realize,

that this is all but a sweet dream.
