Adonis

He was Adonis
in my view.
His brown skin smooth,
shining in the light.
His body was perfection.
God sculpted him from the
finest black marble.
His kiss was heavenly.
His strong hands grabbed me.
He lifted me with such ease.
An angel in all senses.

I wanted him more than physically.
Mentally.
Essentially I did have him.
We connected,
spending months in his presence.
Touching him, Gazing upon his body
after we were done,
laying listening to him breathe.
I'm greedy.
I wanted more.
I wanted him to see me the way,
I saw him every time we were together.
As his angel.
I changed myself to match him.
I failed.
How could an angel ever love a mistake?
