African American

My thought about history
And the American misery
I’m a negro, I’m black
I want change nothing about that
I’m proud to be in my skin
In 1965 the government acted like is was a sin
Being black is no crime
But my ancestors had to do the time
No matter if you black, blue, white or green
We’re all the same we should be a team
We bleed cry and eat the same
So why should black be a shame
Despite everything thing I know
We’re alike so we should grow
