After the Storm

Into each life some rain must fall,
And it always seems darkest just before the dawn.
But behind each cloud lies a silver lining
and with each night a new day is born.
And it's the rain that makes the flowers grow,
Leaving a rainbow after the storm.
And the darkness makes us appreciate
The sunlight all the more.
God never promised us a life without trouble
and it's not up to us to question why
For if tragedy brings us closer to Him
It's merely a blessing in disguise.
To everything there is a season,
A time to be born and a time to die.
But God has promised to them that believe Him
That weeping would only endure for a night.
And that joy would be coming in the morning.
For His ear is in tune to the righteous cry
He said no flood would overtake us
Nor one hair be singed by the fire.
He said He would never leave us or forsake us
And if by chance we should fall
HIs mercy and grace would embrace us
And He would answer our every call
In this life will come tribulation
But whether they be big or small
God's advice to us is cheer up
For I've delivered you out of them all.
