Tap me, rainfall and drum me with your droplets
Let it ripple across the waters
Comfort me and tell me the secrets of the cloud
Quench the thirst of the evergreen leaves
Let the trees rock in humble adoration

The farmers yearn for you, little children worship you
But plead we, come not with the chills
Lest our lungs be inflamed
Forget to overflow our earth with water
Else we be wiped off from the face of the earth

Give us little sunshine to assure us you care
Oh! Beautiful sunshine, cradling in the clouds
Let your rays radiate and beam with smiles
Do not smile maliciously on us
Supply the plants with oxygen
We pray thee! We need from them
