Alive

Alive

A tea party is in full bloom.
Strawberries and chicken croissants,
with mango smoothies,
catered by gentlemen in black.

The Princesses relax under a rainbow of umbrellas.
A bald eagle soars above in a blue cloudless sky,
while the sun casts a shadow of the majestic bird
on a sparkling lake nearby.

Their cares slip away as they gaze in wonder
at the beauty around them.
A gentle breeze sways the trees,
caressing their cheeks.

Awed at the elegance of nature,
they watch in delight,
a hummingbird flit from flower to flower,
drinking deeply from the garden – of life.
