All Good Things Can Happen

We stand alone in separate lives
but won't accept the truth
from love to friendship, we go on
memories are our proof

All good things can happen
we can't forget the past
we shared the love and have no doubt
together, we'll make it last

All good things can happen
feeling so enriched
no blemishes of any hurt
like an orchestra in pitch

So we walk with each other
while the future awaits
and we shine like the brightness
of the famed pearly gates

And true love has found us
said the brown mourning dove
all good things can happen
from the stars up above

This Poems Story

My name is Charles J. Carlucci. I was born on April 16, 1965, in Flushing, Queens, New York. Through the years of grammar school and high school, I always enjoyed writing but never pursued it. Illness fell upon me in 2009 and again in 2013. Now fifty, I am presently recovering from four brain operations due to my sickness. My one true love, Paula, and I pacted, but for the six years I was sick she was there for me. Having the free time as I do, I began to write again. Paula inspired me to write the poem "All Good Things Can Happen." I thank her.
