All in a day’s journey

When you hear the birds sing
the flower bloom and breeze so gentle
Gather the good song in your chest
store it as a token with thanks
and just smile and move on

When you see your youthful spright
and all is right and dreams come true
Gather the joy in your hearty chest
store it as a token with thanks
but just smile and move on

For the tide that ebb will one day fall
Joyful notes will end in silence
Good friends will part and go
some never to come back again
Seasons so refreshing will turn icy and cold
And so this world has always been

When all is done and not all is good
Tell your heart that it's nothing strange
Only we are strangers and foreigners
passing through this world just once
Your home is on the other side

And when the world takes away
what you thought will never go
tell it that you are a stranger just passing by
and with a spring in your walk
Just smile and move on....
