All in Your Head (m.s.)

She disintegrates
Slowly in her mind
Though blind to see
The white matter that lies beneath
Hiding amongst black holes

So what is to become?
Of one so young

Maybe it was the way she was told?
I've never seen a brain with holes
Shocked and wounded, the walls crumble and her tears fall
As he wiped his hands and wished her luck

Has someone shaken the hourglass?
Is life that odd, last shadows cast?
The tears stopped pouring at last

She reassured herself all was fine
No thoughts of death can creep into mine
So worried of what lies ahead

When this time, it's actually
All in your head
