All Is Not Lost

Off he goes my companion, my friend
You Lord say fear not,
But how can I not?
We must be brave as you ascend.

Who will stick around as I cry
For you and I, my friend has always got each other's backs
Now there is a space in my heart that lacks.
I pray someday you will drop by.

Lord God I cry out for comfort
How will I be sanctified by this?
For he will be greatly missed.
We only have this summer.

Then off you will leave me.
What friends can I lean on?
For you will be gone!
But Christ promises to comfort me how can this be?

I put my worries at the cross.
I am but a humble fool.
I am thankful for this friendship that was like a jewel.
For, we will someday reunite worshiping you since all is not loss!
