All we need is love.
Its been a crappy few days, It happened right before you left.
Case of bad luck, I guess.
It was painful at the time,
Can you see the death in these eyes?
Sentence me to hell, I'm ready for death.
But don't worry, I'm ok.
I'll go collect all the life boats,
I think we could make it,
But I don't want to risk it.
Guess I'm dying,
Didn't really expect that...
How will I say no?
Too late.
Wanna know what's sad?
Nobody noticed.
I cant go outside now,
Its too cold.
I hear somebody.
Unlocking the front door?
Look what i found...
Her.
"Hey... can we talk"
NO. I'M DYING!
"ok."
It was Destiny,
But old habits break hard.
I'll try.
How about Wednesday?
Ok.
Love is love,
I'm playing a risky game.
Too late to change,
Lets go.
We shall be invincible together,
Don't be scared.
We were dancing,
And then I couldn't see.
My vision went black.
I started crying.
Run away!
Go!
"I love you."
Stay.
I don't think I told you,
I'm scared.
Broken.
Don't make me leave.
We need to start singing again,
Leave and never come back.
I want you to come with me,
Lets go!
And you said,
"Yes."

This poem tells the tale of a girl, heart broken and unloved. After a bad breakup she finds that there is not much to live for anymore. She looks for herself and instead finds a friend. Someone who loves her unconditionally for who she is. She falls in love with, but is afraid of what others will think. Through ups and downs she finds her way home, into the arms of her true love. I wrote this poem using only lines from messages between me and my girlfriend. Taken and re-arranged they tell our story from the beginning. This poem means a lot to me and I would love to see it shared and explored by others. Encouraging others to write and express themselves in the beautiful art form of poetry.
