Ally

For a long time now,
You've been secretly wanting more deep down.
A stronger relationship, to me a closer bond.
I'm appearing right in the middle of your existence, and not beyond.
This intense feeling has the power to make you feel jittery,
For in your life, I'm not even near the periphery.
But we bring up the weather,
Like there isn't anything else to discuss,
Because for some reason,
There still appears to be a distance between the two of us.
There has yet to be anything officially to account for,
So we chat superficially, yet you long for so much more.
But here we are, just one conversation away,
For what you fail to realize, is that I long for the same.
And there isn't a need for stocking nor prying,
So let's just continue talking and allying.
