Almost Alone

The long awaited night returns,
I walk outside again;
To see the moon and count the stars,
The way my favorite nights
Are spent.

Emotion drizzles from the sky,
I join the black world once again;
The dismal sound of silence
Becomes my closest friend.

Tears outside cannot be seen,
Where broken souls all go;
Thunder breaks and hides the screams,
Together we're alone.
