Alone

All at once I let myself become entrapped
Feeling lost within an unwelcome womb
I've felt my throat catch
words never spoken between us
A rare rage in my belly quenched by my own fears
And tears, easy welcoming tears
It'd hadn't been time enough
before I felt the need to lay naked
bare before my own thoughts
to be coddled like a babe
warm beneath her mother's breast
