Alone

I see them stroll past
Filled with all kinds of laugh,
Without seeing me and I’m wanting to ask
But the nerves do return
They wouldn’t even like me
What person could I be?
Then down my courage starts to burn.

Couldn’t I be like them?
I can’t, I’m not
I should go turn away from their crowd
I want to try... but when?
Just let yourself be proud,
Not a weak coward
One day I ought to learn, but soon I move past
Without a return

Now I’ve seen the clock
I gotta get back tik tok
Anger goes if i’m not home
I guess tonight I’ll have to roam
Out of this head,
Out of this zone
Then just as I drift away
I see i’m still all
Alone.
