Alone on the Moon

She flew with broken wings
And no one saw the difference
She gave out love
Like the blown off wishes of dandelions
She lived alone in the sky
And gave her confidences to the moon
Because she loved how it changed so predictably
In the night, her lips shook
With the names of those she couldn't save
And the earth became a prison
No longer safe
For the angel with broken wings.
