Alone Until Dawn
They burn my eyes and light up my face.
Laying in these sharp, green razors feels right.
Alone and silent, I watch.
It was dusk when I was here-
not lonely, not vulnerable, just content.
The world went by, hour after hour
My eyes would tear, then my face would twinkle from the shine,
As if I could reach up and grab hold of their fire,
as they look down on me.
They are like angels, that are always there.
I lay, by myself for the night.
Perfectly comforted in my own company,
Non-existent to the world.
It's just me and my open sky.
A feeling of sadness hits me when I see dawn is approaching.
Knowing my stars will give a farewell.
I had my time, a wonderful time.
Filled with white and yellow joy, that lit up my world.
A deep blue ocean filled with jewels swallowed me in the night.
And as I climb out of these moist blades.
I'm in ecstasy.
