Alzheimer
Alphabets seem so jumbled,
Numbers seem so tumbled,
Sentences are a task,
I’ve forgotten the present and the past.
I can stay anywhere. It’s all right,
I no more recognise my son or my wife,
It’s just the wrong connection in the brain,
For God sake, I am not insane!
Ideas keep popping in my mind,
Repetitive like the sounds of a wind chime,
I repeat things every time,
But tell me, is that a crime!
Maybe I am aware that I forget,
But I do not show that I regret,
I do not want to please anyone,
But maybe I sometimes hurt everyone.
Love is all from you that I want,
No understanding from you, is what I daunt,
Recipe towards Alzheimers ,that society should flaunt,
Is a little consideration, deliberation but no taunt.
