Destruction, Consumption
We are all born with gumption
We believe we have it all, but pride precedes a fall
Fill ourselves with a dream
Not realizing it is purely a fantasy
Broken promises and prominent lust
But that's okay because in God we trust
America, the home of the brave
But not free because we are slaves
Not to men but to money and clothes
To prevailing stereotypes that everyone knows
Racism, homophobia and hate
Cause kids to hang themselves before the age of eight
However we entertain ideals rather than issues
Chose to kill rather than help heal
When we should give we choose to steal
Destruction, Consumption
We are raised with an assumption
We will learn how the world works
But learning this world hurts
