Oh no, an alligator look and see,
It's coming out of the water and heading for me.
I better stand back, soon he may trod,
Right up for a bite, without even a nod.
On second thought I think I'd better leave,
And let this great creature go back to his need.
He slides back into the water so quietly and swift,
The both of us together, we avoided a rift.
As he travels on up the river looking for a better place to sun,
I move along too, glad that our encounter is done.
On my way home, another one appears,
2, 3, 4 all my fears disappear.
Run, Run, Run all the way home,
All that running made my hair need a comb.
