An Angel’s Home

we lost a dying angel today
she cried "i want to go home." always
she is gone, finally on her way
home, to you it is being
with your children
ah, to be a child again
to me it is being
under a windblown tree
ah, the cool serenity
to her it is being
young in her mother's arms again
ah, securely in her heaven
she is gone, finally on her way
with passion, "i just want to go home." always
we lost a dying angel today
damn that life robbing bag of heroin!!!
our false impression of heaven
go home, angel go home
and rest in your peace
i wished i had never known
how you had died all alone
