An Island

She is an island of herself.
Because no one else sees her pain.
They say she is a basket case.
And there's no one who will listen.

She is the one people ignore.
She is an island of herself.
She's a white crayon in a box.
And she has given up all hope.

The people only stare at her.
And others always call her names.
She is an island of herself.
And she wishes for help to come.

People can't see that she is gold,
And that she is better than most.
But people see what they want to.
She is an island of herself.
