An Ode To Moms
To all the moms of Little Ones
That hold wee babes 'till muscles ache,
That never sit, but walk, then run
After quick toddlers at play-dates.
That wake all through the night to soothe
And feed and wrap and rock to sleep,
That whisper all enduring truths
Into small ears lis'ening deep
Like, "You are wonderfully made,
A marvel most magnificent.
These simple words cannot convey
How vast your worth, how infinite."
To all moms who grow in our minds
A seed of curiousity
About the many traits we'll find
To be unlocked eventually.
Who challenge us to deeply delve
Into our melting pot of gifts
Then set us free to be ourselves,
To grow in grace and confidence.
To all these moms we say
