An Outcast Wish Heard Wrong

I laugh at them because they're all the same.
We once protested to be ourselves,
Now different has become the new lame.

We might as well all have the same name.
We lack originality as days pass;
I laugh at them because they're all the same.

The generation took over our acclaim.
To have the outcast voices heard by many,
Now different has become the new lame.

This world will never contain fair game.
They treat this like it's a new fashion trend;
I laugh at them because they're all the same.

What we go through daily is put to shame.
We worked so hard to be accepted,
Now different has become the new lame.

Although my head is in a constant flame,
I will continue to be myself.
I laugh at them because they're all the same.
Now different has become the new lame.
