An Unspoken Truth

Lives are lost
Pain runs deep
Blood spilled and lives lost
on the concrete
All she wanted was shelter from the rain
Shots washed away he life to soon
Days before his wedding
Went out living his last night
as a bachelor but never made her his wife
All he wanted was skittles and Arizona Tea
Now he is forever captured in history
Time stands still
Justice runs cold
America becomes quiet
as blood runs cold
Thousand of people die
of a different hue
Their dreams of a life that could be
frozen in plain view
Like a snow globe
Just another file
while justice turns her ears
to the rivers of blood that runs wild.
