Ancient Astronauts Of The Past

They came silently through the night
Bound together without fright
The landing came softly without incident
The only thought was to leave no imprint
Ancient Astronauts of the past
Traveling down to a land that moved too fast

The old, the young, the innocent, and the not guilty
Were among those who were not filthy
The plight of humanity that they encountered
Remained to them an enigma that confounded
Ancient Astronauts of the past
Traveling down to a land that moved too fast

Sparingly they landed into our midst
Unknowingly they longed soon to fix
They sought not to take but to learn
Little did they know they would be spurned
Astronauts of the past
Traveling down to a land that moved too fast

The mess they soon met
Became a world that made them fret
Wars and tragedy with no hopes of end
Little did they know this was not considered sin
Astronauts of the past
Traveling down to a land that moved too fast
