And so it is

and so it is

like most things, it becomes a whim

hold this one close

like it knows you most

bottle up this moment and don’t let it go

listen to the cherry music and drink this loud wine

it’s one world we’ve got

so let’s make this last

lose the labels before you lose yourself

choose your battles and choose them wisely

they’ll give you guidance when lights go out

— it’s dark —

follow that gleam you see down there

don’t be afraid, it’s your shadow taunting you

I’m right here, guiding you

remember that light I told you about

well follow it, allow its truth

— it’s still dark —

let go of the weight that’s binding you

release, relieve, and then you’re free

you’re meant for something more than this

wake up from this false fantasy

share your soul with those whom you love

share your soul with those whom you trust

I’ve learned to no longer [fall] in love

rather, I’ve [risen] into love

grab not the strongest hands, but the wisest ones’

to help you continue rising

and help those around you who’ve fallen down

— light —

you’ve got it, so let’s make this last

lose the labels before you lose yourself

you’ve chosen wisely

inside the darkness, let us thrive

it’s one world, let us relieve

the unnecessary toxicities that we all breathe

release, relieve, and then you’re free

I’ve learned to share my soul

with those who’ve shared with me — a toast

with this cherry wine and loud music

bottle up this moment and don’t let it go

hold this one close

I am a foreigner of my own mind

I am a philosopher of my uncharted time

I am human and I am both mine

I desire to become lost

lost in laughter of this glorious chime

silent smiles, focus on what counts

because sometimes we divert and we lose track

but it’s often through getting lost

we learn to be found

and this time, I found something vibrant

I found love, I found peace, I found happiness

I found loud wine and cherry music

and so it is

I found myself

and with that, I found you
