Anemone

Silent killer, hiding in the open, yet still invisible
You are caught within its beauty, trapped in a trance
In its luminescent light you are hypnotized
Like sirens singing you to your death.

So kind, and gentle, yet shocking to touch.
Poisonous to others who offends it
Protective of those who it loves
Like a wolf who cares for her cubs.

Free spirted, waving and flowing underwater
Each tentacle waves its arm for you
So sweet, scintillating as the light glistens in your eyes
She is dancing like a ballerina in the Nutcracker.

As she flows like honey, slow and waiting for you
She has been searching for something,
Something she was unable to find
Yet again she found you, and took you in as her own.
