Angel Never Fallen

They say she walks
Like her soul is bleeding
From the bottoms of her feet.
Her shoulders
They lurch forward
Strained by the weight of heavy thoughts.
She wears her hair
So much shorter now,
Cut away all those lost years.
You can ask her for a story
And she'll gladly tell;
Of the years she spent digging
Her way out of Hell
Only to find that
Heaven was a lie.
And demons suite her much better.
Than the angels she'd once hoped
would be there
to save her.
They say I walk
Like my soul is bleeding
From the bottoms of my feet.
And someday I'll share with the world
My story of a girl
Who never earned her wings.
