Anger

It attacks you and brings you down just as dark sneaker wave
You're unsure whether to let it overtake you and give up,
or struggle until your head is above the water
to get a breath of air.
You act like you're possessed by something from the underworld,
Your actions threaten the innocent in your life.
You have a monster inside of you,
who controls your thoughts and words, and seems to crush,
My heart inside me.
You can't just take back words, as if there didn't hold truth,
Because I know there was.
Apologizes only go so far.
You shall not fall into the trap of disrespect and cruelty.
You blame God and everyone other than yourself,
But we know that inside you're angry at yourself,
angry at the world, and no one can help you but you.
