Another Day

Heartbreak is never easy,
the truth is rarely told.
But sometimes you keep believing,
wishing on that star of gold.

That your heart was safe,
your heart was strong,
and you didn't know, you'd be wrong,
because...

He said he'd stay
but now he's gone,
and you're left, holding on,
to a hand that isn't there.
Would you tell me how that's fair?

You crumble to pieces at his feet,
collapsing slowly towards the ground.
You just can't survive without him around,
you thought you'd finally been found, and...

He said he'd stay
but now he's gone,
and you're left, holding on,
to a hand that isn't there.
Would you tell me how that's fair?

You think you'll never be the same,
how could you ever live with all that pain?
But you'd be surprised, how the heart can heal,
how it stitches the scar and makes you feel...

That you're glad he's gone,
that he didn't stay,
and that you're better off, anyway.
You'll let go, and you will see,
that love is never fair, no it's never ever fair.
But you are strong,
and you are safe,
and you'll come across, another love, another day.
