Warm and toasty, smells of spice;
Made the whole house warm and nice
Table ready, waiting still, for the
Silence to be filled.
Car doors shutting, voices near
Children running without fear.
Hugs and kisses, short embrace;
So many things ready to taste.
Say the prayer, give great thanks;
Sit down , finally; time to commence.
Now it’s over, time to clean;
Children ,cannot be seen.
Tummy full, time to reflect;
This has been the best thanksgiving yet!!
